Mr. Ravindra Singh Rawal is an IRS officer of 1989 Batch & Former Principal Commissioner of Income Tax. He is an engineering graduate from IIT Roorkee in Civil. He is well versed in legal & International Tax matters. He has worked in various capacities, including Assessing Officer (AO) and supervising in the capacity of Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, administrative & Judicial work as Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals), Commissioner of Income Tax/Principal Commissioner of Income Tax. He has attended different training/seminars related to International Taxation and Transfer Pricing.
He has served government and private employers and also non-corporate taxpayers of West Delhi. In this jurisdiction, a large number of applications were disposed off under Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme (VsVs) and also applications relating to condonations of delay in filing ITRs etc. During his tenure as IRS officer, he has handled large cases of Income Tax.
As Principal Commissioner of Income Tax -15, Delhi, since August 2021 to 31.12.2021, he supervised and guided the officers of 3 Ranges, having jurisdiction over taxpayers showing income from salary/pension received from government and other sources.
